Thanks for the well-wishes folks, I appreciate them very much.

Regarding the moose....
I understand what you're saying - funny thing was that in the same
drive I had already had deer jump out in front of me twice, and I
was watching carefully with the brights on - it was a blind corner,
and I was already turning - and there they were - I successfully
avoided them, but the momentum was against my success, and carried
the car into a short skid, aiming it for the ditch, which I couldn't
get away from fast enough - next thing I know, the car is pointing
towards the road again, upside down, and I was out of it, unable to
stand - then the emergency folks began arriving.
I have no conscious recollection of getting clear of the car.

From what I remember, the car must have gone over in both directions;
it is certain that it went end over end because the front end is
very squashed from going over it at least once.

As has been said by others, the car did a regal job of protecting
my body, and besides the usual collection of bad bruises and some
cuts, all I seem to have is some broken ribs (which are painful to
say the least).

Perhaps this is petty of me to say, but what hurts me the most at
this moment is that I spent every shekel of my savings to get this
well nigh perfect car - it was exactly what I have always wanted,
right down to being very, very clean and having been obviously
well loved by the previous owner - I was only the 2nd owner too.
To have such a beauty relegated to becoming parts only is hurtful
to me - and I am merely being honest and sharing that.

In the same breath, I just want to voice my continued appreciation
and gratefullness for the amazing community we have here - thanks
for being here folks.
