You might be shocked at the low price that you can get for your car in the current market - not a significant amount more than you probably just put into it for a transmission rebuild (I'm guessing $3000 - 3500). The quality of transmission rebuilds are the product of the parts replaced, the skill of the work done and I suppose some luck.
I had the manual tranmission on my old C900 rebuilt at 75,000 miles; the car is still running strong with well over 200,000 (odometer is broken). As such, if you still like your car I would now drive it until the "wheels fall off".
