are hard to see if they are worn. Tighten all subframe bolts and see if the "clunks" go away, even for a brief period. I had that problem with my 9K, the car would clunk on take off and braking. The control arm bushings looked fine on the ground but one was worn on close inspection. The subframe bolt on that side was loose probably due to the motion allowed by the worn bushing.
