Brake noise after new brakes....

Did front pads and rotors on my daughter's car this weekend. Brembos and PBR Delux. Nice pads.
She just reported, and I have verified, a "knocking or clacking" noise from right front when brakes are applied. The retainer clips are in place, so that's probably not it (forgot to put one on once and got a similar sound). The brakes work fine. Stops smoothly, no pulsation, nice and straight. Just this noise. The guide pins are tight as are the bolts that hold the caliper parts to the hub. I remember torquing the bolts (66 lbs). Wheel is torqued correctly, too.
Since it's about 90 degrees out today and I won't have a chance to look at the car right away, does anyone have any pointers to track this down? She doesn't have to drive much in the next day or so, but I'd really like to nail this one.
Am thinking (hoping) that all I need to do is put more of the anti-squeal goop on the back of the outboard pad and re-seat it, but all suggestions are welcome!
TIA, guys. You're all so great about this. The shared knowledge here is amazing!
