Hello all,
I need some direction here...
In the last few days, my '92 has developed a pretty serious vibration on the drivers side front wheel. It seems to be getting worse quickly. It occurs when turning or even bearing right. It varies with road speed and worsens as the turn gets tighter.
It's not the tires or rims as I have swapped. There is no "clicking" sound, so I don't think it's the C/V (boots are good). I checked the axle nuts on both sides and they are torqued correctly. I have looked for play in the bearing and there is none apparent. Doesn't appear to be any play in the tie rod end or ball joint and all the bushings "look" good. Sway bar and A-Arm bushings look almost new. Spring and strut look good and are tightly bolted top and bottom.
There is evidence of the tire rubbing against the wheel arch liner in front, right where the access cover for the tranny is. The tires are not oversized (195 R65). Could this be evidence that the rear A-Arm bushing is allowing movement? How much play should there be there? None?
I've only had the car a few months, so I am not intimate with it yet. Only thing I've had to do is replace the VR, which took 10 minutes.
Thanks in advance...
