Swedecar,
Thank you for the response. Thants kinda what I was hoping to hear. If I may one more question. Just obtained a 2000 9-5 with 136k miles. One owner and had oil changes every 10k miles, or less, all doccumented. A little over half of the oil/filter changes, after warantee, were straight DINO oil. The others were done at a Saab dealer. I removed the valve cover and was suprised to find no sludge at all. Quite a bit of varnish but no sludge. When changing the oil I fished around the drain hole with a coathanger with a loop at the end and did get some small black particles like you see on the "clogged oil pickup screen" photos posted here. I am thinking perhaps I should remove the oil pan and ck and clean the pickup screen. What do you think? I also plan to do a Auot-RX treatment on this car. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
