If you see nothing up in the valve cover it is very small chances that you have any build up of sludge in the oil pan either.
One thing I recommend when changing oil is to do it with as hot engine as possible. That way the oil is whooshing out through the drain hole and may drag dirt particles with it on the way out, especially if it is any kernels of carbon deposit sitting in the oil pick up screen.
I can't say how good autoRX is since I have never used it.
On some cars with sticky lifters we use a quart of ATF before the oil change (mixed with the remains of engine oil).
Drive the car until it is really hot and drain it out. The ATF have a good cleaning effects but should certainly not be used as a cleaning substitute during regular driving.
