Thanks for the advice, rsfeller...
I'm a semi-DIY guy. I certainly did most of my own work on the last 9000.
Would valve issues cause intermittent performance problems like I've experienced? Car drove fine for me on the way to the Saab tech and on the way back, but stumbled for him. This intermittent issue seems more like an electrical gremlin (DI cassette's def. a gremlin!) than a more permanent mechanical issue like a bent or stretched valve.
I thought about asking the Saab mechanic to slap in another DI and see how she runs - guess I should have done that. I assumed that this was the "extra diagnosis" that wasn't covered under my pre-purchase inspection labor charge.
Blower motor is $65 part? I'm guessing tons of labor involved by going between false firewall in front of the windshield? Squeaking is intermittent (will happen when going over railroad tracks or potholes and then stop), perhaps something is loose or needs lubrication?
Thanks again for the advice,
-John
