I took some readings just after the car was turned off for a few minutes after a 30 minute drive. With my multmeter set to 20M (It doesn't have a 2M setting), the left side of the harness (Green wire) read 0.10, which I take to be 1 MEG (please correct me if I'm wrong).
The right side of the harness (blue wire)reading did not move from the stationary '1', which I took to mean that it has no value and therefore the location of the fault.
I left it for another 10 minutes and took the readings again. This time the left side hovered between 0.10 and 0.09. The right side was actually reading a negative value -0.28. ANother 10 minutes and the readings went back to the 1st set above.
So...in you opinion, is the right side transister fried and the left side is OK? What's with the erratic readings?
Is the ECU located in the engine compartment, drivers side behind the false firewall or under the drivers seat?
Could I talk you into making the repairs (for a fee of course) if I by any chance I can do w/o the car for a week or two?
Many thanks thus far, it's nice to know what the problem was for all this time.
Norm
