On my VOM with a 20M range, when it reads '1' the circiut is open, like when the probes ar not touching anything. When this VOM is connected to a good ECU it reads '1' from battery ground to the right and left contacts in the harness. This meter reads .10 when it is connected to 100K. According to this the side that reads anything other than '1' maybe bad. Try a lower resistance range on the contact that reads .10, it may read lower, which would be a better indication it is bad.
The engine ECU is under the black cover in front of the windshield, hood open. The ECU is in front of the driver and has a white lable that says SAAB, Part.no etc. The ECU is latched in on either side, the latches can be pressed away to allow the ECU to be pulled up. The bonding strap may have to be disconnected before the ECU can be removed from its mounting. Do not cut the strap, it must be reconnected to prevent malfunction of the ECU. The ECU connector has a lever that swings out to release the harness.
I have the BPC driver transistors and could replace them in a day or so. There is the possibility there is more damaged than the driver transistor, if that is the case repair may not be reasonable.
