If Anders is correct (and he almost always IS), you need to check for power at pin 30. It should be there all the time. If it isn't, look for a fusable link or some large fuse. It has to run all those accessories so it is actually supplying power to the fuse panel for all of the things which switch on when you turn the key. The Haynes should show you what the battery passes through getting there. Generally there is nothing except a fusable link near the battery. Many cars have two wires coming off of the battery; a large one to the starter and a smaller one for everything else. Since your lights work, it's probably good at the battery but there's a split somewhere for the ignition circuit. If pin 30 is hot but no switching to 15 or 54 (I forget what Anders wrote),you need an ignition switch. You can take a couple of wires and jumper between the battery (#30) pin and the ignition pin and should see your dash guages and lights come to life. This is done with the wiring harness removed from the switch; on the harness itself. Switch is "out of the picture" for this test. You're using the jumper in place of the switch.
