As Bill says, it is likely the exhaust manifold that your garage is referring to. A common problem with these 9000s is that oftentimes some of the studs that hold the manifold to the cylinder head break off. Sometimes that's not much of a problem, but other times it will loosen the connection between the manifold and the head and exhaust gases (and noise) will escape from the gap. If this is the issue and if you can't hear it (usually you will hear a raspy exhaust like noise under acceleration) then I wouldn't worry baout it since repairs can be expensive. Repair involves drilling out the old studs - a difficult task only to be attempted by a skilled mechanic since one slip of the drill bit and you can ruin the cylinder head too.
