Are you sure that you need a whole new CV joint? If you do, then buy a rebuilt axle-it will be much cheaper. If you just want to repack the joint and put a new boot on, Eeuroparts has a kit for the outer joint for about $9 which includes both "hose clamps" (crimp), the boot, snap ring, and two tubes of grease. The inner is a little more expensive and has the same parts minus the snap ring.
Quasi and Townsend have excellent writeups-I used info from both. I wrote up a short list of my frustrations a while back-do a search for "CV joint" and you should find it. One word of advice- do NOT kick the joint/hub assembly back onto the axle! Just line it up and push firmly. Others have had problems losing the rollers in the inner joint...I was lucky there, but had my bad luck on the outer after I tried Quasi's "kick the sh*t out of it" method.
Good luck.
