I was right...I really didn't have any idea what I was doing! Thanks for explaining that.
So if you use the MBC to increase boost in moderation, does the APC still protect against knock or do all the safety features go out the window along with the BPC? Roughly, what is a higher boost level that you would still consider safe for the engine?
How many psi are you, or anyone else for that matter, running with your MBCs? I have a graduated Speedparts boost gauge as well.
Another question...I cut the hose running through the bulkhead to the standard boost gauge and am now running both gauges off the same line. My stock boost gauge seems to still be accurate but the graduated gauge reads -.5 bar at idle but seems to be accurately measuring boost (if you consider -.5 to be 0. Whats the problem here? I'm using the plastic hose supplied with the gauge. Thanks.
