But I don't think this one will work.
The 900 has an electronically controlled tranny, and that sport button is oh so great! I too wish my 9000 had it...but at least I have a 900SE to drive too.
The 9000 tranny is not electronic. There really is no switch under the pedal like in the 900. What you feel when you floor it is the kickdown cable. I don't think the kickdown feature can be activated any other way other than hitting WOT like that. If you activated the KDC and it wasn't at WOT, I don't think it would good for the tranny, or give you what you're looking for.
However, an easier alternative for you would be to convert your car to FPT. Then you'll have more power than your old 900SE and you won't notice the lacking transmission as much. Boost will come on much faster and stronger in 2nd, and you might not miss the extra-long shifts of the 900.
