The 9000 does not use a throttle pedal switch. There is a throttle potentiometer but there is no connection with the transmission. The transmission does not have an electronic control. The only interface between the throttle and transmission is a mechanical cable. Messing with this cable is a quick way to trash the tranny. The quick shift to 2nd is for emissions and/or traction considerations. The only way to delay the shift 2nd would be trimming the internal springs in the tranny.
