I got my '93 Aero two years ago for $3,200, perfect body, no major problems, 128k miles. Mind you, since then the investment has been far greater. There are horror stories about the '93s with their one-year first-launch T5 and TCS woes, but your '92 prospect is worse - the LH system with TCS. At least in getting a '94 or newer car, you'd get the final 9000 body style, which is also much prone to rusting, for whatever reason.
Unless the guy's willing to sell for $1,000 - $1,200, I'd keep looking. For example, my brother, the famous Dave Ingram on this board, found a '93 CDE in excellent condition (relatively speaking) for $1,000.
Just my two cents' worth...
