but I know something did happen.
Like I said, the CEL had been on for 2 weeks, and will not go out unless done so via a diagnostic tester. The morning after doing the jumpstart, the engine needed a lot more cranking to get it started, the same as when the ECU has been disconnected and then starting the car for the first time after that. It's almost as if the ECU received a surge of power that it couldn't handle, causing its memory to be lost. Car is running fine, strong as ever.
I can't understand what happened. My battery is not old, and I have jumped cars before with my 9K, though never the SUV.
Needless to say, something did happen and I will no longer take any chances. Not with that expensive ECU in there!!!
