So I am all done now and the results are in.
1% gain in fuel efficiency from 1.5oz to 3.0oz per 10 gallons.
Engine smoothed out considerably.
All varnish gone from the fuel lines and injectors.
Reduction of soot in/on exhaust valves, manifold, and turbo.
No noticeable effects on any plastic inside the fuel system.
Not what I was looking for.
On my tbi car I had a 25% increase in fuel mileage and it made that POS Durango finally stop misfiring on half the cylinders. It beats the hell out of any commercial fuel and injector cleaning fluid like STP or Gumout, is a lot cheaper than those, and does a hell of a lot better job in 1/4 the amount of miles.
I think this would work really well on tbi and carburated cars, TPI with the Saab's extensively engine management system is probably negating the benefits. I would still be interested to see if it lowers emissions.
