Yes, very simliar concerns of it eating the plastic away.
My findings on this were only visual. Lacking any lab equipment to test any plastic peices for brittleness, size, or porosity before and after, I can't realy answer that.
My inspection of the fuel pump, fuel lines, and other tidbits was visual and squeezy/feely. I would think that 2ozs per 10 gallons dilutes the acetone to such an extent that it isn't harmful.
Since the car is being retired, are there any specific parts I should pull of the car and soak in pure acetone to find out?
