It's a long story but since you asked... I have an 89s(242k) and 88T(164k) on the road, and an 88s parts car. I had replaced the spring/strut assemblies on the 89 a few years ago with 92 Griffin units from a wreck. When I got the two 88s last year I found both driver side springs were broken. I ordered the sports suspension(97 aero as I understand it) from genuine saab. Sweden had stopped shipping so I wound up buying the rear half from an incomplete set Nick had on hand. I put those springs and shocks on the rear of the 88T and put the passenger side front strut/spring assemblies from the two 88s on the front of the 89. The Griffin struts were shot by then so I cut them down, put in koni inserts and put them and the griffin springs on the 88T.
I don't know what your rear alignment problem is, but I had a bad thrust angle on the 89 that I solved by slotting the mounting bracket holes for the rear control arm on one side. If it's toe or camber, you probably have a bent axle. I understand shims can help somewhat, but I haven't done it myself.
