...you'll get more noise transmitted into the cabin. I had the same thing happen - almost sounded like there was a mini speaker transmitting engine noises into the cabin. Also had excessive (for my liking) vibration at idle when the compressor was running.
As a result of the symptoms above, I replaced the horizontal mount (dogbone or one that attaches to firewall) with OEM rubber bushing. That eliminated virtually all the symptoms. Only problem will be that this solitary rubber bushing will be taking more load than is intended, and as a result, its life span will be shorter. I had to shove some radiator hose in the bushing's gaps, because mine was already starting to go after about 1.5 years.
