Pete's right, but life of the horizontal will vary...

I have a poly in the vertical and a stock horizontal, both new when I got the car 2 years ago. 26K miles later the rubber one is still fine, with no cracks or any sign of wear.
Someone here suggested drilling a few (4-6) 1/4" holes in the vertical poly mount to give it a bit of flex. Haven't tried it but seems like it might work.
But having all poly mounts will transmit more vibration and noise. Like old saying goes, "you pays your money and you takes your choice."
