First off, check out where your leak's coming from. Again, I think it's one of your heater hoses inside the aquarium. Then, once you've repaired the leak, drain all the water and fill with proper coolant, letting the car run until the radiator fan cycles, watching the temp gauge and checking for any other leaks. Once that's done, you know your cooling system is in good shape.
Only after that can you consider driving the car. If the stumbling problem persists, then tackle that issue, but the two may be related if the coolant temp sensor (different from the gauge sender) isn't getting a proper reading. This can affect how the ECU controls the engine. So you just want to focus on buttoning up the cooling system and then go from there.
Keep us posted!
