Okay, I posted several threads on this board regarding the water pump I just replaced. Everything is good, however, it looks like I have to replace the heater core because Im not getting any heat/just cool air. And the drain along the firewall has been spilling water and coolant. Otherwise the engine runs very well. New plugs also, new thermostat, new vaccuum hoses, other new hoses, etc.
Problem today was when I first went to move the car and put her in gear (without rolling the car), the engine slowed considerable, almost to a stall, and then when I put her back into Park, she did the same thing. I noticed when this happened that the engine was vibrating during this 'near stall' and the belts and everything vibrated. I do have to change the rubber upper motor mounts because they are cracked and worn. I can see all the play when the engine slows. My problem is the near stall.
Belts are aligned perfect, all else is good. Any suggestions or help is well appreciated.
Michael
Tomorrow I am flushing the cooling system.
