I would be shocked if you hurt the sway bar. They are spring steel, and virtually impossible to bend. We had a run in with a ditch, bent the rear axel, broke the steering rack, bend the wheel hub (where the tie rod connects), but both sway bars were fine. I have had the front and rear suspension completely apart, and have replaced struts and shocks with Bilsteins, put in new poly bushings for control arms and sway bars, replaced the rack, etc. E-mail me and I can offer some help, but I am in Colorado.
