The 5 door is the biggest difference. The spaciousness of the 9000 makes it the Swedish Utilty Vehicle. With the 9-5 you must get a wagon to approach the utility of the 9000. As old as this 9000 is I can read all the displays (they all look like new). Not so with the SID and ACC displays on the 9-5. The folks that had the car put one set of S tires on the rear and a set of H's on the front (Michelin X and MXV4 respectivly). This is affecting its handling for sure but it still handles and rides quite nice. A little crisper in the turns than the 9-5. The seats are finished better -- Brig o' Wier compared to GM. The Harmon Kardon system in the 9000 sounds better than the Harmon Kardon in the 9-5. At least they were both made on the same assembly line by Trolls. I like both of them a lot. Hope to learn a lot here over time!
Ian
