it sounds like the starter not disengaging. It sounds like a little rock get caught in the starter gear, a rattling kind of sound. It went away eventually, but I still can detect a hint of rattling when I start the car now and then. Mine started after the car needed to be towed one subfreezing winter with a broken clutch line. In the process of positioning the car to be towed, I had to use the starter to move the car out for the tow truck. It wasn't the wisest thing to do to the starter.
Does it go away inside a warm garage or regardless ?
