cold in MD?....you should try Boston brrrr........
IMO the worst part of your cable replacement will be the R+R of the springs back on the throttle shaft......very tricky, especially the cruise control spring- don't remove that one if yu don't have to. Take careful note of the spring orientation.

97 9000CS-fpt
broke plastic cam on throttle shaft and never did get cruise control spring back on...although seems to work ok.
