I have owned my 96 9000 CS since new and now have over 152k miles on it. In those 9 years I have replaced one ABS wheel sensor and the clutch hydraulic line (and of course brake pads and rotors when necessary). I agree that the key is regular maintenance. I've changed the oil at 3-5 k intervals and had the appropriate major items done at the 30k and 60k intervals by my local indy (The Doctor in Acton, MA). When something breaks, fix it. For example, this summer my engine began to skip sporadically. I suspected the DI cassette (I have a spare one in the trunk), but I checked the plugs first. All 4 were in need of closing the gap, which fixed the skipping problem, and probably prevented a DI failure down the road. I'm planning on another 10 years and 150k with this vehicle.
