You may have a siezed caliper. Traction in the snow is very little as it is, and a few foot-punds of torque needed on one wheel to overcome brake drag is often more than snow permits.
I have seen this problem on a few cars i've owned, a VX Jetta (great in snow after I fixed it) and a Volvo wagon (ditto, damn that car was fun! Steer with either end of the car).
Try very gently applying the brake as you take off. With any luck, it will even out the imbalance.
