We had a Volvo 940 Turbo, which aside from being a money pit, was a disaster in the snow. Even with four new Blizzaks and 140 pounds of sand in back it was still a question if you would get where you were going if the roads were bad, especially up our 135 foot, gently sloping driveway which tends to get icy.

My wife, who learned to drive on RWD domestics and grew up driving on a long hill hated driving that car in winter. So did I.

RWD is a lot of fun in winter, and I do like it, but that Volvo was horrendous. I think if I'd had better tires it wourd have been better. I've only liked Blizzaks on my old GTI. They weren't as good on my C900 or the Volvo.
