turbo and non-turbo engines

To my knowledge the head is the same between turbo and non-turbo, even most of the components in the block are the same. Of course both inlet and exhaust manifolds are different. Turbo engines have different length connecting rods than the non-turbos to make the compression ratio different.
Maybe others could also pint out additional differences between turbo and non-turbo. I think you are increasing the amount of work just replacing the head. Well, talking about a kettle calling a pot black. I am one who'll not hesitate getting his hands dirty working on a SAAB.
