HI, I had to research the origin of your car and looking at your previous post the car was seemingly neglected and sitting for a bit according to the PO. As a life-long 4-wheel deal seeking "collector", I have found a few bottles of lubricant penetrant and cleaning in general helps so much with the latches, springs, the sticking or inoperable ashtrays, door, locks, etc...
Recently we had some weather that cased surfaces in ice... on my truck in which over spray or paint contamination from engine cleaner is irrelevant... I tried this engine cleaner on a door latch mechanism encased in this weather... that worked great. And the kicker it was scented as if you were driving an orange through town.
But anyway, it has been my experience that soaking those disregarded points of contact will be much cheaper in parts and labor/time/DIY, even to first try.
