I can't recall the details, but I was talking to the saab mech at Saab Services in Ft Lauderdale. They said the 95 was the best car saab has built except for a few issues:
1. sludge, which is caused by too fine an oil screen that they remove on cars they work on and will replace with a more appropriate screen. i think this was solved in later 95s, which recommended synthetic oil, or maybe they fixed the screen all together, but in the early 95 they weren't recommending synthetic oil and had lengthened oil change interval, which resulted in sludge and engine failure. there may have been a recall for this, i'd check, but i think the recall only applied if proper records indicated proper oil and changes.
2. there's an AC issue, easy to avoid with replacement of some cheap little part, but if it fails, it's quite an expensive fix, as in mega hundreds or over a thousand. that's all i recall him saying, i don't recall the details
3. the air intake for the engine is mounted low under the front bumper/air dam and going through water is a bad thing, water gets sucked into engine easily, compared to 9000 which has the air intake behind the side marker light and you can drive through water.
