I may have glossed over the situation should you snap a PS pump bolt on the bracket. Just imagine you have a bolt shank on the bracket while the bracket is firmly implanted on the engine block where you could not even stick your palm through the tight space.
In my experience the drive train was hooked to the lift half way up in the air. The bolt snapped leaving the PS pump still attached to the engine coming up the lift. But at least I had all the elbow rooms I needed to remove the bracket because the engine is already suspended. It won't be the case if you are doing it in car.
Of course the PS bolts may be loosened without any problem. You'd want to spray the PS bolt to bracket connections with WD-40 and let it soak for a day or two if you are serious about removing the PS pump in car.
