I miss the M5 a lot. It started eating expensive engine parts, so traded for the Alpina. It's a neat car, but too nice for me... my tentative plan is to wait another year or so, and see what the 3.8 liter M5s are like once they can be imported into Canada (need to be 15 years old, then it's all clear!). That's probably The Car for me... though I'd really love a '95 3.8 wagon with the nurburgring suspension and 6-speed... *drooooooooooooooooool*

that's mine.

Actually, the guy selling the two B10s on eBay is the guy who sold me the M5 and B11. I haven't driven a normally-aspirated B10, but I have driven the BiTurbo. My heart was inches from buying the it but thankfully my brain kicked in. It is TOO FAST. PERIOD! Also I didn't like the mileage and option configuration on that particular white car, and detested the electronic throttle, which is nowhere near as responsive as the ETS in our 9000s! I missed the electric throttle response of my M5 (with six individual throttle bodies... and no computers in the way!), not to mention the amazing noise from the BMW Motorsport 24-valve six banger.

When you first start driving the BiTurbo, you feel like it's surprisingly quick through the gears for a car that will do 180+mph in 5th. You expect it to be geared really tall... then you look down at the speedo and realise you're already doing 120mph...

I've driven an E39 M5 (the V8 one) as well... and the E34 BiTurbo would hand the E39 its ass on a platter. I won't hesitate a second calling the BiTurbo a flat-out superior car to the E39 M5. It's retardedly fast and masks its speed like nothing I have ever driven. The accelleration in 2nd and 3rd is positively savage.

Cheers!
