Hello Tim,
Got almost exatly the same situation:
'95 9000 CD, 'Check engine' code 4, ABS usually lights up after driving a bit.
All break sensors measured OK resistance.
At first the temperature needle might raise occasionally heating work just fine. But most of the time the needle would not rise at all, And there would be almost no heat at all coming in to the cabin even after quite a bit of driving.
Changed the temperature sensor and disconnected battery for reset. Worked for a day or so. Now the light is back on and no heat.
So I'm suspecting the wiring or the control device in both cases.
I just haven't been able to figure out where the wires end up to get to measure them. Has anyone got a wiring diagram?
To my understanding the ABS light alone should indicate no problem in the regular break system, just that the ABS is out.
Cheers,
-JJ
