I can see you're on a budget, so just a few suggestions FWIW: If you haven't, check the slider pins on your front calipers to be sure they're not bound up. That plus a few days on your new rear pads might firm up the pedal. If your idle is varying from 800 to 1100 or 1200, that's not he end of the world, settle for an 1100 idle for the time being (unless you sit in traffic a lot). Swap out the amm later. You might want to worry about the ball joint if you suspect it's bad. If it feels like the right front wheel is folding under slightly on a left turn, I'd replace the ball joint pretty quick.
