Now a question on Cylinder 1 being at TDC...

Everytime I read this forum, I find I have more questions to ask. :) This pertains to my 93 9000 CS n/t automatic.
I have the engine apart, everything except the block, oil pan and transmisson are out of the car because I had a bad valve and HG. Now I have most of the new parts in (except new old-style head bolts which I need to find).
I have a question about cylinder 1/engine being at TDC. I have the crankshaft turned so that flywheel markings are on the 0 mark and between the two slashes on the auto-transmisson. Now does this mean that the engine and cylinder 1 is at TDC? I have the cylinder head removed, so I can't align the camshaft markings. When I removed the head, I wasn't sure if I had the camshafts at TDC, and I read on this forum that the flywheel makes two revolutions for every camshaft revolutions.
I want to make sure that when I put the head back on, I have the engine at TDC and I time it correctly. It seems that if cylinder 1 is at TDC, then I can install the camshafts and make it so that they are also at TDC, and time the engine correctly. Is this a correct assumption?!
Thanks for all the help!
Jesse C.
