Yikes, all this talk about 500+ miles from a tank is making me jealous. I get 350 out of a tank max (usually 21-22mpg, mostly rural driving around 50mph). I did just take a road trip through the White Mountians of NH (beautiful) and I got 29mph for the tank that I was out there, a record, I don't even get that on the highway, must have been a lot of driving down hill ;). Hmmm, I run 93 octane, 40psi tires, just cleaned my O2 sensor and still can't break 30mpg downhill :P. Makes me long for the days of that Toyota Tercel that got 45mpg on a regular basis.
