After having some drunk #%$^* totaled my '97 900 i've bought a '95 Aero, MT, with 120k. It's a great car, more solid than the others i test drove. 1700 put into it by a reputable indy last summer in maintanence. (Dan, if your reading this, yours was pretty sweet too) My problem (if you want to call it that), is that i spent less than my budget allowed and have 1k or so to play with. Basics: get the oil changed (it's been getting synthetic), get a tint put on (anyone know a good shop in Portlandia?), cross refrence records with quasimotor and recomended maintanence, add a stereo (does the factory headunit have aux out?, can i use the CD changer from the 900? Is there a 9000 audio page around?), and perhaps some modest performance parts that won't become reliability issues. I figure i'll have 600 or so for aftermarket parts (already have most of the stereo system from the 900). I've heard the downpipe is a nice add on--any other ideas within my budget? Whats up with all the recent K&N issues? Cold air intake? Think reliability--so i guess that gets rid of MBC and all that fun stuff. The suspension is tight and lowered (i think), new tires, so no issues there...two weeks before exams are done and i can get to work! Lots of questions folks, lets have fun with this one!
