Cheers guys, thanks for the responses, but (at the risk of sounding ungrateful) now I'm more confused :-)
So that's 2 votes that I should plug the can into the nipple on the top of the compressor and 1 vote that this same nipple is the high pressure side and I could therefore have the can explode like a hand grenade which could blow my arm off.
...and I've just had my nails manicured too, wouldn't that just be my luck:-)
Could anyone clarify this, maybe with a pic officially sanctioned by Saab and with an unlimited personal injury indemnity signed by the CEO of Saab?

I had read in another post that on R134a systems that the nipples were different sizes for high and low sides to prevent the hard of thinking from creating hand grenades, is this the case?
This is much scarier than I hoped!
