Turbine whine/screech and boost fluctuation/APC

Update on the overboost/oscillating boost/turbine whine in my 9K CSE auto that I previously posted. Turbo whine is now a screech and whine going to a whine. It has started to get considerably louder over the past week, so I knew it was going to be expensive. Fried APC due to the ECU (almost certainly the thyristor issue previously covered in this BB). The technician kenw exactly what to look for re the resistance on the leads from the ECU. New turbine is also required. It's 9 years old with 130,000 Km (of wich I have done 110,000 Km). So I'm looking at a) a new turbine, b) a new APC, c) a new/repair to the ECU (not in that order of course, I don't want to fry the APC again). The dealer has an electronic shop contact that handles this sort of repair. Prices at the dealer are (in Can $ but there is not that much difference these days) $1600 for the turbine (minus the core charge), $495 for the APC (the second), and $1100 (they think) for the ECU (new). They are willing to let me source the parts or tell them where to source. Any suggestions from those of you who have been there before would very much appreciated. Not too many 9K's in the Montreal region, so the wrecking yards don't have to many to play around with. The car has always had new bits and pieces anyway, so why change.
This web site has been invaluable in helping me pinpoint the problem, so here's hoping that with all your help I can keep the costs down to something reasonable. Has anybody ever supercharged one of these cars? The pumbing must be simpler!
