First suspect would be a bent rim or tire ply separation.
17" rims are much more suseptable to damage because of the extreme low profile of the tires, expecially if run with low tire pressure.
Unfortuneately, the only good way to check the rims is with the tires off.
I had a similar problem on both the 96 9000s I bought, but at higher speed. 4 out of the 8 rims were slightly damaged, and this was with 15" rims with 65 series tires. 4 good rims on one car and a great set of used 8-spoke Ronals on the other eliminated the problem.
"Feathered" tires means something isn't right in the rims, tires, or suspension.
Swap the rims front to back and see if the vibration moves.
If shifting into neutral and coasting doesn't eliminate rather than lessen the problem, mounts would be very low on the list of suspects.
