So I'm finally getting fed up with my 92 S throwing electrical issues my way. I've been having random problems for awhile now with a fuseable link wire or something off the battery and an occasional no start. Usually fixed simply by popping the hood, rattling a few wires, then she fires right up. But nooooow, tonight while on a nice evening cruise, I starting getting a flicker/cut out type thing whenever I hit the brakes or used the blinkers. So I pulled into a parking lot to make sure I didn't go powerless in the middle of the road at night. While parked I still noted the flickering whenever I turned on any new electrical device, fog lights, whatever. So I turned around and headed back towards home. While riding home I noted the voltage readout in the EDU was all over the place, bouncing all around between 12.7 and 13.5.

*Note, I did recently install a 110 amp alternator out of an aero, hardly noticing any difference so far. The alternator was used, but tested at my local parts store and was said to be good.

So I pulled over again, shut the car off for 30 seconds or so. Fired back up, drove the rest of the way home, now with the voltage keeping steady, but only around 12.8-13.0 volts. This was with just the parking and driving lights on, tunes off, CC fan on just the number 1 setting, no other major electrical running.

There's more... every time I start the car up the voltage only reads around 10.5-11.0 until I get a hundred feet or so down the street, like it takes a minute for the alternator to wake up and go to 13.5 volts-ish. It could sit all day in the driveway running and just be reading the 11.0 or so.

So finally tonight, I shut it off, but turned the kay back to the on position withouth starting the car. Waited for the EDU to boot up and the volts read at 12.7 with everything off. Sooooo, why I am I getting barely over that with the car running?

Tomorow I plan to check all the wires off the battery to the distribution block, as I've been suspecting them for awhile. But other than that, what the crap can be going on here? I'm baffled by the inconsistencies of all this.

Any help is appreciated!
