One more audio system rant/question Posted by turrbo [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
So I dynamated my front speakers yesterday (in the rain) and the vibrations are gone, like in the back. But the front 4" speakers are still popping when there's bass. These are MB Quart Reference series ($$$), and, although they sound a lot better than the stock Clarions, they pop just the same. It's almost like they can't handle the bass.
I thought those big ass crossovers would be able to filter out what the speakers couldn't handle. Guess not. I'm still happy with the MBs, but I gotta do something about this popping!
I'm guessing when I install a Basslink, I'll be able to turn down the bass setting on the HU, and the problem will go away. I hope. What about some bass blockers, like Crutchfield sells?
Thanks for any ideas!
