I'm using just the stock Clarion HU to power the fronts and the stock Clarion amp to power the rears. So wouldn't the rears be the ones popping since they're driven by the amp that's possibly clipping?
The only thing is, however, when I turn the bass setting down, the popping is gone. That's why I'm hoping that with the addition of a Basslink, I'll be able to leave the bass down and the sub will even out the sound.
And Burt, these speakers where actually installed in September, it was the rears that I put in a few weeks ago, so I think they'd be broken in by now hopefully :)
