The ECU is in what's often called the "aquarium". Open up the hood and just in front of the wipers there's a long black pastic cover running the width of the car. Undo all the bolts and pull it up carefully - there are hoses running through it for the washers, and a short rubber drain hose, but you can unship it and drape it over the aquarium enough so you can fiddle around. The ECU is right at the driver's end of the aquarium (assuming left-hand drive) - it's a metal box hooked onto a bracket, with a multi-way connector.
I noticed your post(s) below and have to say that the ECU is one of the last (and most expensive) places to start troubleshooting. For a systematic approach, try Ari's no-start guide: the link is below. He says it's good for 94-98 but the main point is to go through everything in a logical sequence. The '93 has an early implementation of the Trionic engine management system and I doubt if the anti-theft stuff is relevant to your car.
If you do end up replacing the ECU you need the same part number as the existing one - accept no substitutes.
If you don't fancy the systematic approach, you could play a hunch and try fitting new spark plugs - ensuring they are NGK BCPR7ES or PCPR7ES-11 gapped to 1.0mm. Then borrow another Direct Ignition Cassette (red thing on top of engine), fit that and and see if the car works. Once again, suggest you don't buy the DI unit until you know you need it - they are something like $250 - though you will doubtless need a replacement sometime if you keep the car.
Final thought - if Ari suggests something, it's worth taking note as he has an annoying habit of being right :<)
