Rough Idle and stalls - Gets worse when hot Posted by Andrew [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I've got an automatic 1993 Saab 9000 CS (non-turbo, non TCS)that is driving me to an early grave. Here's the scoop:
When I start the car from cold it runs fine for a few seconds. It then begins to idle rough and will stall eventually. The car will run if I push the RPMs to 2000 or so, but dies if I let off.
When warm the car idles rougher and stalls sooner.
When hot, it won't start at all till it cools off.
I've tried everything under the sun including:
plugs, O2 sensor, Mass Air, new computer, all the vacuum hoses, cleaned out the throttle position sensor, cleaned out the AIC, checked the injectors, sacrificed a chicken and replaced the head gasket.
At this stage I just don't know what to do. Does anyone have any clues as to what is going on here?
Thanks,
Andrew
